Here’s a recipe for a bug spray that I got from the wonderful Nancy Weber. It makes me look forward to summer nights on my mom’s deck down the shore. Can’t wait for summer!
Buzz Off Insect Repellent Spray
Need to get:
1. Cobalt Blue Bottles – best prices are specialtybottle.com.
You will need 1 ounce bottles with atomizer for traveling, walking, etc. 2 or 4 ounce bottles with atomizer for home/office/car. For animals in heavily infested areas purchase the Cobalt Blue Boston Round Glass Bottle 1/2 oz w/ Dropper.
*Cats need a much more diluted version of just Purification and Lavender.
2. Distilled water is best. (If you can’t for some reason just make sure no chlorine, fluoride, etc.)
3. From Young Living: Purification, Lavender (St. Marie’s Lavender may be better for this purpose, however they are both effective) and Peppermint.
4. For 1 ounce spray bottle:
2 drops Peppermint
2 drops Lavender
4 drops Purification
Top it off with water.
Simply double the recipe for 2 ounces, and so forth.
